Patch 1.00.03 and 150K Update

Four days after Doloc Town’s 1.0 launch on August 5, 2026, RedSaw Games Studio announced the game had passed 150,000 copies sold worldwide. The same Steam News post shipped patch 1.00.03 and published the third Mysterious Melody code. This page is the wiki’s working changelog for that hotfix: what it fixed, what it did not fix, and which wiki guides you should reread if you imported an Early Access save.

If you have not played the full release yet, start with Version 1.0 and Getting Started. If you only want the numbers, open Codes.

150,000 copies and the thank-you gift

Doloc Town is the studio’s first game. The 150K post promised a decorational hat for the following week. That gift is now live: dial 12315 for the Little Bird Hat after patch 1.00.04. This page stays the 1.00.03 changelog; the hat digits live on Codes.

The same post made all redemption codes permanently valid. Players who waited for a sale or who start a second farm will not miss the music disks. Current numbers live on the codes page.

Launch also sat inside the Wholesome Games Steam Celebration with a 20% discount (list price $19.99) advertised through August 19, 2026. Pricing changes; this wiki tracks systems, not store banners.

1.00.03 changelist (bug fixes)

The hotfix targeted launch-week friction rather than new biomes:

  • Early Access saves could fail to load after planters inside tents were removed when the buildable area changed. 1.00.03 repairs that collision.
  • Player name entry could cut off text — fixed.
  • Old City Ruins quest animations could loop — fixed. See Old City Ruins if you were stuck watching a scene repeat.
  • New fish variants could not be dried — fixed. Update Fishing routines if you were discarding those catches.
  • Crop placement near the outpost entrance was wrong — fixed.
  • Interior decorations in the Mayor’s Office sat on incorrect tiles — fixed.
  • Abundant Collection could trigger incorrectly after loading an Early Access save — fixed.
  • New Year’s Eve Gathering would not trigger on some imported saves — fixed. Cross-check Achievements and Festivals.
  • Localization issues across the new 1.0 language set — various fixes.

None of these changes rewrite the tech tree or automation design. They make 1.0 playable for people who carried a year of Early Access into August.

Known issues — closed in 1.00.04

The August 10 queue is historical. Patch 1.00.04 (plus the 1.00.05 cellar hotfix) marked these as fixed: hard Dumbo / Mahi-mahi minigames, idle automation drones, New Year Beast path, panoramic shots, wrong-time side quests, off-screen UI, Guardian post-loss soft-lock, and time stop when storing drone buildings. If you still see them, confirm Steam shows 1.00.05 and delete any BepInEx folder. Remaining black screens after that are almost always functional mods — see Workshop.

Workshop and BepInEx warning

Players reported black screens and freezes. Official Steam Workshop content (items, décor, crops, recipes) is supported. Functional mods that drop a BepInEx folder into the game directory are not supported and can break 1.0 systems.

If the client hangs:

  1. Steam Library → right-click Doloc Town → Manage → Browse local files.
  2. Delete any folder named BepInEx (Steam will not remove it for you).
  3. Relaunch a vanilla or Workshop-only install.

Then file a report through qa@logoi.net, the official form, or Discord — and say whether mods were involved. More context lives on the Workshop guide.

What to do after you update

  1. Confirm the client is 1.00.03 or newer in the Steam game properties.
  2. Load the Early Access save once; if it opens, redeem codes and check Abundant Collection / New Year’s Eve Gathering.
  3. Dry the new fish variants; restock cooking ingredients.
  4. Re-test one automation loop before a long Old City session.
  5. Create a manual save before the Guardian fight anyway, then retry on 1.00.04+.
  6. Keep a vanilla save if you experiment with Workshop packs.

1.00.03 is a stability patch, not a second 1.0. Install it, redeem the disks, and treat the known-issue list as a weather forecast for the next week of scavenging.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

When did Doloc Town 1.00.03 release?

The hotfix shipped with the 150K copies announcement around August 10, 2026, five days after the August 5 1.0 launch.

Will my Early Access save work after 1.0?

Most saves continue. 1.00.03 specifically fixes tent-planter load failures and two achievement flags that broke on imported farms.

What codes came with the 150K update?

Mysterious Melody 12311, 24141, and 35321 shipped with 1.00.03. The decorative hat is 12315 in patch 1.00.04. See Codes.

Why do my agricultural drones stop working?

Idle drones after farm expansion were a 1.00.03 known issue. Patch 1.00.04 lists that fix. Keep a manual row until you confirm the client version.

The game froze after I lost to the Guardian. What now?

That soft-lock was listed for 1.00.03. Update to 1.00.04 or 1.00.05, reload an earlier save if you are already stuck, then retry.

Should I delete Workshop mods?

Official Workshop packs are fine. Delete BepInEx functional injectors if you see black screens. Details on the Workshop page.
